Job Title Support Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the configuration and maintenance of network hardware and software, including switches and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for reporting/reference purposes.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform the traffic enforcement camera network configuration particularly Jenoptik Robot, Redflex and EKIN.
  • Prepare, configure, install, test and commission LTE network from enforcement camera to appointed data center and disaster recovery center. Perform network migration as and when required.
  • Ensure network availability according to the committed customer’s SLA.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept as and when required. Advise and prepare report on the reliability of the tested hardware.
  • Provide technical expertise in any exercise required by the project i.e. Security Posture Assessment (SPA) or Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
  • Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds) is a plus.
  • Exposure to network security principles and practices. Knowledge in traffic enforcement camera is an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):

  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Other relevant networking certifications
