(AI) Data Scientist Intern

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in data exploration and discovery analyses across multiple data sources under the guidance of senior team members
- Support the design and execution of experiments with data, helping to build working prototypes to illustrate concepts and findings.
- Contribute to improving and optimizing existing Python codebases, learning and applying best practices in software development
- Gain exposure to big data technologies and assist in building components for scalable AI pipelines and algorithms
- Support the development and experimentation of AI components on real-world data, contributing to the integration of ML/AI functionalities into our products.
- Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and contribute to developing use cases.
- Learn and utilize Git for version control and Docker for containerization as part of the development workflow.
- Actively participate in team meetings and learning sessions.
Requirement
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong foundational understanding of machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis concepts (academic projects acceptable).
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for tackling analytical problems and translating them into practical steps
- Solid programming skills in Python and familiarity with core data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git; exposure to Docker is a plus.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and resourceful in exploring tools and techniques for data manipulation, experimentation, and analysis.
- Basic understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data transformation (ETL) concepts.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to present findings and ask questions clearly.
