Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
- Oversee cooling systems, power distribution, and renewable energy integration.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of IT infrastructure which include Server & Hardware Management, Network & Connectivity, Manage switches, routers, and cabling, Storage Management and Virtualization.
Monitoring & Performance
- Plan for future growth while maintaining sustainability goals.
- Optimize space, power, and cooling resources.
- Monitor infrastructure health.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain documentation for audits and certifications.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Develop and maintain DR plans for critical systems
- Ensure backup systems align with green objectives
- Coordinate regular DR drills and testing
- Oversee backup and replication strategies
- Lead incident response during outages or disasters
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Communicate sustainability goals to internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of server configurations, network diagrams, and storage layouts.
- Record incidents, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Generate reports on resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage)
- Keep DR plans updated with recovery procedures and contact lists.
- Maintain inventory of hardware, software licenses, and warranties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure and sustainability practices.
- Familiarity with green certifications and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of ITIL and data center best practices.
- Leadership and project management skills.
